The Deputy Regional Representative works closely with the Asia Regional Representative and senior regional staff to guide and support the development of CWS programming in the region to meet the goals of the CWS mission and strategic framework. Programming in the region includes, but is not limited to, climate change adaptation and resilience (CCAR), disaster risk reduction (DRR), refugee processing and assistance, and a wide range of humanitarian response and sustainable development programs. CWS maintains offices in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Timor Leste, and Japan, and supports programs run by partner organizations working in these and other countries. The Deputy Regional Representative will develop new and nurture existing CWS partnerships, and identifies opportunities for CWS program restructuring or growth in the region to reflect current operational realities.

Working Conditions
Physical: This position is office-based but when traveling may require climbing, kneeling, sitting, standing, walking.
Environmental: The incumbent primarily works in an office environment but when working in the field may be exposed to excessive noise, marked changes in temperature and/or humidity, dust and infectious diseases, harsh weather climates, long work hours, bumpy roads, extended travel, excessive sun exposure, and non-ventilated spaces.
